| 8 DAYS, 1400 MILES, OATMEAL CREME PIES, DANIEL BUTLER, AND A DODGE RAM 1500
so Spring break so far has been an absolute blast! Friday we were kicked out of the dorms at 5:00 so Daniel, Adam Davis, and myself all stayed the night at GL's house. we stayed up WAY late pigging out on pizza, and stale communion crackers. we watched Forrest Gump and The Notebook, and took CRAZY pictures!!!! (soon to be posted on facebook.com) then we went to bed. i had a room all to myself  haha.
the following day Adam drove Daniel and me to Enterprise Rentals and we ended up getting this HUGE, candy apple red, 4-door, Dodge Ram 1500, BEAST of a truck (that likes to eat up gasoline for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks inbetween. but it's been fun.
we drove to Atlanta, GA which took about 7 hours, where i go to meet the family. i had already met his mom and two sisters, Jenn and Shayla, but i hadn't met his dad yet. well, i actually didn't get to until the following day after church. he had to work REALLY late and didn't get home until after we had gone to bed. his grandmother is also staying here. his family is the coolest. we've watched movies, played games, laughed at home videos (hehe), and walked around the mall (where i was SOOOO close to buying a shirt in Hot Topic that said "Everybody Loves Penguins... but i decided not to... they didn't have my size... but it was SO cute. i'll probably go to the Avenues Mall and see if they have it there). it's bee a lot of fun.
tomorrow we are going to drive down to Jacksonville, FL so he can meet MY family. he's met my mom and sister, but just like me... has yet to meet the dad. and he's SO nervous. (Caleigh! you're freaking him out! no more intimidating stories/facts/not-likely-to-be-true peices of information!) but anyway, it will take about 7 hours to get down there and i'm SO excited about that. we'll stay until Friday when we will drive back up to Atlanta, and then leave for Freed on Saturday (cuz the rental has to be back by noon, bleh.)
all-in-all, i've had a wonderful Spring break thus far, and it's only halfway over! or should i say halfway started? same difference i guess... one of those glass half full/half emtpy things i suppose... |
